Ever experience a miracle? A truly awe-inspiring, unexpected, powerful, amazing, yet solicited miracle?

I believe in miracles! I pray for them and yet stand in awe of them when they happen.

Why is that? Is it because I don't believe? No, I do.

Is it because I don't believe that people can change? No, I've seen it happen.

Is is because I don't believe in resolution in a difficult situation? No, because I've experienced it.

Is it because they don't happen enough to see them? No, we just don't always recognize them.

Life is a series of tiny little miracles. Notice them. (Tamara Kulish)

To me the greatest miracle in our lives is the change that happens to us when we allow it to happen. When we spend time, energy, expense, and opportunities in developing change. Education does this for us. Experiential work opportunities does this for us. Life lessons does this for us.

The Salvation Army had a slogan many years ago called "Expect Change." In context it meant for every dollar$ raised the investment in an individual life which was the greatest impact of that donation, hence change ($) in the red kettle meant change in a life. #ExpectChange.

As an employee for 30 years (2021) with The Salvation Army, I recognize the importance of the generosity of donors, funders, and supporters, and their change ($) . We can't provide the programs and services to those in need without financial support.

This past year (2020) has been nothing short of a miracle while fundraising during a pandemic.

The good news is donations were given in support of our local units! That's a miracle prayed for.

The great news is we can serve more of suffering humanity! That's a miracle happening.

Can we expect miracles in our personal lives? In our professional lives? As a woman of faith who practices it in her profession, I would say YES to you today! Look for those miracles in your workplace. Pray for those miracles.

Expect miracles because you believed! Its a great core value - Belief.
